These Are My Boys, and I Love Them
So nothing really exciting has happened to us this past week, it's been the same, me get up and go to work, come home so Dan can go to work and school, and I take care of the boys at home while Dan is gone all day. But I like the life we're living right now, because for the most part I get to be a stay at home Mom, which is all I've ever wanted, I mean I'm home from work most of the time before they all wake up. My boys keep me more busy than I ever thought possible, but at the same time I love every minute of it.
Of course on Sunday we watched the super bowl. We were talking how it's almost better than Christmas because you have all the yummy food, the family, but not the stress of getting ready for Christmas. We had a lot of fun and ate way to much.
Here is Lincoln enjoying the super bowl.

Here's Mayson and Lincoln enjoying a movie or something. They were so sweet and calm, I had to capture the moment.
Then Kaden wanted in on the picture, so calm moment #2, let it be documented because it doesn't ever happen.Dan is doing awesome in school, he just got made an account executive in one of his classes, which any of you who are in the PR world know that that is pretty cool and a great resume builder. He finally knows the path he wants to be on so because of that he is loving school. He is an amazing person and I am so proud of him, and he is also counting down the days until Boston, he tells me every day that he is so excited to go, and I am really excited for him.

They Think They're so Funny
So funny story. It was 10 minutes until noon, I was watching my nephew Mayson, and Kaden was all ready for school, the bus usually picks him up around noon. The dogs really needed to go outside to take care of their business, so Kaden and I took them out. Well we waited out there with them and about 5 minutes later they were ready to go inside. So Kaden runs inside and Boston follows him, Diego was following me up the stairs and I was an arms length away from the door and Lincoln comes out of no where and slams the door shut and locks it. I thought he would open it immediately for me, but no, he didn't. This is what they were doing.
They kept looking over at me and smiling, and laughing, and thinking that it was the funniest thing in the whole world that they were sitting in the window watching Diego and me outside freezing trying to get into the house. I kept ringing the door bell and knocking on the door and yelling for Kaden thinking that Kaden would at lease hear and come and open the door for us. No, he wasn't coming. I was trying to be really stern and tell them come on, open the door. It took everything I had not to laugh at them because even though I was freezing I was thinking that it was pretty funny. Notice in the picture that Mayson found a crayon and started drawing on the window. I thought Kaden's bus was going to come and try to get him and I was going to be locked out and the bus was going to have to leave without Kaden because I couldn't get in. Well, after about 5 minutes of ringing the door bell, knocking on the door, and yelling for them to open it, Mayson finally came and opened it for me. I get in there and found Kaden in the back room minding his own business just playing. A few minutes later the bus came and Kaden was on his way. I was very happy to finally get in and I will never take the dogs out again without taking some house keys with me.

Is it possible.....
....to own anything nice when you have little kids? So I love my boys more than anything but honestly, it is impossible to own anything nice, they break everything. So the top picture is of my cute little man, but I'm also showing you the TV stand that we had that is in the background. It's just a glass TV stand that is wide open. So yes, my husband works at Best Buy, we own a PlayStation 3 and an X box 360. When we purchased these we also bought the warranty's, which was totally worth it. Anyway, we have ended up replacing 4 PlayStation and 4 X box 360's due to the fact they are set at reach for the little ones, you would think we would move them, but honestly where has always been the question. They don't understand what being careful is. They've put multiple discs in there before, they've put them in upside down, they've even broken discs in there before. It amazes me, I didn't think I was this destructive when I was a kid. Maybe I was. So when we finally replaced our 4th PlayStation and our 4th X box 360 which was at the same time, we decided to make the investment of an in closed cabinet to lock them up in. Well we had just gotten the cabinet so I have not had the chance to buy things to lock them. So the other day I was in my bedroom and Kaden was out watching a movie. About 20 minutes later Kaden comes into me carrying the door to the TV cabinet saying "uh oh mom, I need some glue." I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
Some how he was able to rip the door off of the cabinet. I thought it was cute that he wanted to fix it, but at the same time my jaw dropped, and my only thought was, " We haven't even had this for a week." Well I ended up gluing like crazy and was able to fix it, it doesn't look as nice as before, but that's OK, it still works for the purposed that we purchased it, and the next day I bought locks for the cabinet and I can only hope that the locks will help. I'll let you all know if it does.Well on a happy note I need to mention how amazing my husband is. He is in the PR program in school and is doing very well. Every year there is an opportunity for a few of the top PR students to apply to go on a trip to meet with some of the top PR firms in the country. This year the event is taking place in Boston. Well, this is something that you have to apply for, write an essay and sit down with a board and have an interview. Well they announce the trip and Dan immediately comes home and starts the application process. About an hour after he turns everything in they call him back for an interview. Well, 28 students applied for it and they can only take 8, 4 boys and 4 girls. Dan goes in for the interview and he nails it. They picked Dan to go to Boston for a week to meet with some of the top PR firms in the country. I'm so proud and excited for him. He is an amazing man and he works so hard, he deserves this. He gets to go in March so we'll let you know all about it when he gets back.
Thanks everyone for reading, we don't have the most exciting life, but it's is our life and we wouldn't change anything about it.

Family Vaca = Lots of Fun
So it had been awhile since Dan and I took the boys on a family vacation, so after Kaden got his appendicitis we decided that it is time stop dinking around and plan a family vacation. So we decided to go to our favorite place and that would be San Diego. We stayed with our really good friends in Temecula and had a lot of fun with them.
The next day was actually a special day, it was my little man Lincolns 2nd Birthday. We were so fortunate to spend the day with Aunt Kelley and Uncle Josh where they showed us a great time in San Diego. We did a lot of fun things that day, but the highlight would be Birch Aquarium.Posted by Dan & Celeste at 5:21 PM 1 comments

There is No Place Like Home
What an amazing and emotional experience. It has been very humbling in every way. I will never take a healthy child for granted again. I mean seeing Kaden sick was really hard, but seeing other kids that were worse off then Kaden was even more humbling. I am so grateful for my happy healthy boys, and Kaden's full recovery. Thanks you so much again everyone for your thoughts and prayers, we felt every single one of them. Now it's back to normal life, wish me luck.
